Maria Murphy is the of founder of Living Well Nutrition Consulting Services, and for over 10 years she has been involved in exploring the trends and intersections of physical wellness, spiritual connectedness, and environmental awareness.
Maria is a Certified Nutrition Consultant and Diet Educator and a graduate of the Institute of Educational Therapy, also known as Bauman College.
As a Certified Diet Educator Maria specialized in researching how people with Type II Diabetes can manage the disease with diet and lifestyle. She also studied how people with a genetic disposition towards Type II Diabetes can adopt preventative lifestyle and nutritional practices to reduce the risk of developing the disease.
Her graduate thesis for her Certified Nutrition Consultant degree was titled “Chronic Stress and Systemic Organ System Deficiencies.” This research investigated the physiology of chronic stress combined with lifestyle factors associated with acquired illnesses such as adrenal exhaustion, cardiovascular disease, and inflammation disorders. Her study of chronic stress also revealed that even depression and obesity have correlative associations with chronic stress, and that the condition itself can be well supported with optimizing nutrient density in the diet.
Maria’s research included diet plan development to assist people with eating for health to support them while managing specific disease states, and she is also well versed in tonic herb blending and supplement regime recommendations.
Maria believes that the very core of nutritional health intersects with behavior patterns that promote wellness of all kinds. For example, when we choose to buy sustainably grown food from farmers, not only do we make a decision about what we put in to our bodies, we create a ripple effect that encompasses everything from making our communities a better place, to making a political statement about environmental safety. An added bonus is that often the humane, healthy, environmental choice is also the more economical option as well; and Maria is dedicated to helping people integrate wellness into their lifestyles for the health of their bodies as well as the planet.
So thanks for checking out Sacred Harvest, and let’s work together to make the world a better place!
